This large antique flow blue tureen was made in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, circa. 1892-1905. The J. H. W. mark to the base is for Weatherby and sons Ltd. a well known company in the Staffordshire potteries. 
The detailed flow blue floral and scroll transfer is laid on a decoratively moulded tureen with ornate handles to the base and lid.

Condition: good antique condition with no chips, 2 small cracks to the inside glaze on the rim (see picture), a small hairline crack to the base, and no crazing. Still perfectly usable.
