This charming framed art deco print of Victorian Christmas post is an original porchoir print.
Victor Max Ninon (Vittorio Accornero de Testa, Italian, 1896-1982) won a gold medal in Paris in 1925 for his pochoirs. Famed in later life for his work with Gucci, where he designed the 'Flora' scarf for Grace Kelly in 1966.
Pochoir (pronounced pooshwar) is a complex stencil applied in layers that was popular in Europe and especially Paris in the 1920s and 30s. Each print is unique, and they were made in small batches, so it is hard now to find another like it.
